Backpack Babies at the Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary

infants to 23 months

Bring your backpack or jogging stroller to the Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary in Topsfield and explore the meadows, forests and wetlands with your baby.

Each class will begin indoors with a nature book and a few lap rhymes, songs, and games about the topic of the day.

We'll take a closer look at deer, beavers, spiders, butterfries, birds, turtles, frogs, leaves and trees and more as we hike along the sanctuary trails.

Meets in the barn. Limited to 9 adult/child pairs. Please dress for the weather since we will be outside for a portion of each class.

Backpack Babies is for adults with children ages infant - 23 months and runs 4 weeks starting in September and May. Call 978-887-9264 or contact ipswichriver@massaudubon.org for more details.
